Australia - Strengthening Companies in the Space Sector

The transformative potential of the space sector is extraordinary as no other industry so inspires nations, young minds, and collaboration.

Australia brings many advantages to the sector in our cross-sector strengths applying technology to the challenges of remote, difficult frontiers.

Including the success and expertise of Western Australia in autonomous mining operations, remote asset management over distance and robotics applications in the offshore energy sector.

Openness to collaboration is another strength as these types of challenges are inherently collective with a shared purpose.

That was my resounding takeaway from In-The-Zone speakers;

Mark McGowan (Premier of Western Australia)

Megan Clark (Australian Space Industry Head)

Julie Bishop (Federal Minister for Curtin)

Penny Wong (Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs)

Kim Beazley (Governor of Western Australia)

Pamela Melroy (former NASA Astronaut & Space Shuttle Commander)

Gordon Flake & John Olsen (Perth USAsia Centre)

Peter Quinn (E.D. of ICRAR)

Peter Klinken (Chief Scientist of Western Australia)
