Innovator of Engineering Solutions
Kim is a passionate innovator of engineering solutions, utilising her Mechatronics degree and Power Systems masters to create and deliver projects for over 22 years.
In 2022, Kim was the CME WIRA - Technology Innovation winner and the runner up for the National WIRNA for the same category. The thermal lance feeder also won the DMIRS Safety Invention of the Year award that same year.
Kim's career comprises of extensive application of innovation, including incorporation of: the first LED lights to rail; $2B project works on the most automated workshop in the southern hemisphere (at the time); Automated Guided Vehicles; Remote Operated Vehicles; creating gadgets to reduce line-of-fire work for maintenance; and now finding new ways for the decarbonisation of industry.
Kim's super power is questioning how and why, and then working out that, "of course we can do it".
