AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EARLY ENGAGEMENT

Australian SKA Regional Centre - Industry Briefing Events in Perth and Sydney

Markus and Louisa.jpeg

By the time the SKA is in steady state operations in the mid-2020s it will generate a raw data rate close to 1 TB/s and an estimated 250-300 PB per year of data products. These data products will be distributed to science teams via a global network of SKA Regional Centres.

Join us in Perth or Sydney to hear about Australia’s plans for an Australian SKA Regional Centre network and the current opportunities for early engagement with industry to solve the challenges that come with analysing, processing, managing and moving big data from space to the end user.

You will have the opportunity to meet with the SKA data leaders from CSIRO, The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre and the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research.
